Mythology of Ares/Mars♂

The Greek God Ares’ domain was war, combat and battle. He was the son of Zeus (Jupiter) and Hera (Juno). Ares was feared by most folk becuase violence and battle for his own sake “turned him on”. His own sister Athene calls him a “thing of rage, made of evil, a two-faced liar” (1). However, when the God of War is wounded or defeated in battle he flies angrily to Mt. Olympus to complain to his father who tells him: "Don’t whine at me, you two-faced liar. To me, you are the most hateful of all the gods on Olympus. Wars, fights and quarrels are dear to your heart” (1).

The Romans called him Mars♂ and he was considered a heroic God. In the birth chart, Mars points to your warrior spirit. Mars♂ demonstrates how you take action and what area of life you operate most quickly and independently. Sexual energy is implicit in the study of Mars. He is the proverbial male or masculine archetype. Mars♂ position, its aspects to other planets, and the house (s) it rules show where and how you exert your energy and force. Budding Trees Moon (Red Hawk)

In Native American Astrology, those born from March 21~April 20th are born under the Budding Trees Moon and their animal totem is the Red Hawk. Their color is yellow and their totem in the mineral kingdom is the fire opal. This Moon is part of the Thunderbird clan.

The fire opal is similar to quartz and is found in sedimentary rock and in cavities in volcanic rock. Opal comes in a variety of lustres and hues and sports a glassy to waxy luster. The opal has been used by Native people since very early times. It is considered to be a stone of hope and was thought to render the wearer invisible when he or she did not wish to be seen.

Just like the opal, Red Hawk people can often be found near hot spots or places of pressure. They are open to new ideas and show an enthusiastic spark of interest to vital new information presented to them. They are catalysts and messengers, capable of making any new idea into a reality. Because they are born under the Budding Trees Moon, they are bursting with new life, energy and intuition. Hawk has an ability to hover and can suspend itself in midair. Because of aerodynamics, hawk's energy is efficient. Hawk is also known for its speed and endurance. Happy Birthday Aries♈ ~ The Ram!
For those born between March 20th – April 19th,
The Key Phrase is: I Am.

Mi, mi ,me, me…..ahem…clearing my throat to make way for ARIES♈~! Aries is a Cardinal (action oriented, self starter), fire (intuition) sign located in the 1st quadrant (self oriented/personal) of the Eastern Hemisphere of the chart. Because Aries’ ruling planet is Mars, the need for action and movement and being first is symbolic of people with Aries prominent in their chart. Aries♈ inhabits the 1st house of the natural zodiac. The Ascendant is the cusp of the first house as many know as the Rising Sign. Because Aries arrives immediately after the dreamy, Neptunian 12th house, when Aries arrives on the scene, everyone knows about it! ☆♥*♥☆Full, Super, Crisis Moon☆♥*♥☆

Dear Cosmic Cohorts, ☄

Today, this afternoon on the East coast, we will experience a Full Moon, a Super Moon, a Crisis Moon.  The Moon is perigree which means it's very close to the Earth.  In fact, it's the closest to the Earth it's been in 19+ years, which happens to be the length of an "Eclipse" cycle.  Luna will appear much bigger and brighter as a result of her close proximity. Wherever you are in the World, this spectacular event will be a photographer's glory!  Please take photos and post them to your Facebook pages and Twitter.

Meanwhile, since she is so close to the Earth, water, oceans, sea life, people will feel more sensitive, intuitive, agitated, and especially anxious about the impending Japan catastrophe.  Please, please, please, surround that reactor in healing white light. Visualize it cooling down, calming, soothing. Send prayers and positive energy to the people and animals.

Mother Nature has "had it".  She's reached her limit; her boilng point.  She set boundaries and each time, she's been crossed. She's provided us many opportunities to care for her Planet, her fur and water babies, her trees, her soil and land, her plants, her air, her insects; all "loaned" to us.  We used and abuse the priviledge. Her special children, the "Dolphins" were targeted for annihilation. These intelligent, peaceful, helpful mammals were being systematically, intentionally destroyed.  During the Tsunami, local fisherman left 24 dolphins in a holding pen awaiting their fateful slaughter. Instead, they were trapped, thrashing around, intuitively wanting escape and refuge, and their cries were ignored.  All 24 are dead, and that's not the end of it. 

 "Hell Hath no Fury as a Woman Scorned" especially a Mother protecting her children.  "Don't mess with my kids", she says. Mother Nature is taking back what is rightfully hers. How many "natural" disasters does it take for us to listen?  Our life here on this Earth depends on respecting these natural gifts, and they are gifts,that won't last forever unless they are protected and cared for.

So here we are, on the verge of a Super Crisis Full Moon the day before the Sun☉ enters fesity Aries and the Spring Equinox.  There is more seismic activity around the Spring and Fall Equinoxes.  Coupled with the Super Full Moon and the Sun☉ Uranus♅ conjunction on Tuesday, the 21st, be prepared for "change".

Astrologically, on or about March 20th-21st heralds the entrance of the Sun into the sign of 00° degrees of Aries♈.  Emerging from Pisces and the 12th house, we reluctantly emerge from a surreal, embryonic cradle, starry-eyed and impressionable. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the starting point by which we begin our journey and evolutionary cycles.

00° Degrees of Aries♈ is also called the Aries Point or AP. Astronomically, this point marks the place where the Sun crosses the equatorial plain in the North, or the Sun/Earth midpoint. Uranian Astrologers link 0 degrees to all the cardinal signs. Cardinal energy (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) initiates, is motivated into action and requires an outlet. Cardinal energy represents movement from an inner, passive quality to an assertive, outer quality. It is our will to be noticed, like seedlings pushing their way through the soils surface towards the warmth of light.

Some believe the first house and 0 Aries♈ is where our spirit emerges and the starting point likened to the Fool’s Journey in the Tarot. Even though The Fool symbolizes the element of Air, his fire ignites his passion for independence and exploration. Emerging with creative energy and innocence he forges away on his path, consciously trying to learn from his life experiences through trial and error. The Suit of Cups in the tarot deck is also symbolic of Spring, water, emotions and love. Cups are intuitive and heighten the senses. We become more aware of our feelings and desires during this season. The expression “Our cups runneth over” comes to mind with the outpour of love from the heart chakra.

New Beginnings, birth, growth, revitalized and renewed energy is symbolic of 0° degrees of any sign and more specifically for the sign of Aries♈. The Sabian Symbol for 1 Aries (we always round up to the next degree) is: “A Woman Has Risen Out of the Ocean, a Seal Embracing Her.” Again, this is symbolic of our emergence into the light of a new experience. This symbol of “emerging” from water is consistent with The Moon Card in the Tarot whereby the Scorpion crustacean emerges from the sea straddled between the Wolf and the Dog symbolic of the blending of the base instinctual wild or shadow side with the domestic, tame and “civilized” aspect of Self. It’s about rebirth and rising from the depths of the unconscious and to bring forth what is within in order to manifest in form.

Easter is celebrated on the Sunday following the first Full Moon of after the Spring Equinox, on April17th.  However, the next Full Moon we experience on March 19 will be at 28° Virgo 48'.  This is no ordinary Full Moon as it's a Super Moon according to Astrologer Richard Nolle or a Crisis Moon according to Astrologer/Writer Lynn Koiner.  Either way, the energy is super intense. Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, are already feeling emotional tidal waves. Intuition and psychic awareness is heightened. If you're already feeling the "pull" what are oceans and sealife feeling? A Full Moon is a culmination of energy carried forth from the previous New Moon, 14 days earlier. During a New Moon, if you visualize that which you desire, and “plant” seeds of intention, they will “bloom” during the Full Moon. The New Moon on March 4th was at 13° Pisces 36.

Since the Spring Equinox brings our desire for love and romance to the forefront of thoughts, let’s discuss how you can bring new love into your life. Desire, wanting and intent is the key to visualizing that which you want to manifest . If you have wanted to start a family, bring a new love into your life, switch careers or even plant a garden, now is the time to plant your personal seeds. Personal seeds are the thoughts created inside the mind’s eye. Thoughts are creative energy and will magnetize similiar thoughts, situations and people who share similar energy.

The Emperor is the masculine principle, the animus and the patriarch. He represents authority and power. The Emperor in the Tarot sits upon his throne, adorned with rams’ heads on the arms and corners of the back of the seat. In his right hand there is the Egyptian symbol, the ankh, symbol for life. His left hand grasps an orb, symbol of the World in which he rules. The Emperor has the ability to know when to seize an opportunity. He thinks, speaks and acts reasonably and with authority. Maintaining order and stability is important to him. An original and independent thinker, he is compassionate, courageous and has excellent powers of observation.

Alternately, the Emperor can be cold and unfeeling, relying completely on his own rules and laws as he judges others. Negatively, he can be inflexible, unyielding and stern. He may also be impatient and restless when under stress. If you draw this card reversed, you may feel more confrontational and sarcastic and may demonstrate a cruel or manipulative streak. Positively, because of his many years of experience, the Emperor indicates an innate understanding of the rules and laws of human nature. The Emperor may also be symbolic of a man currently in your life or one who will enter your life that will possess these characteristics.

Calling all Lightworkers,✯ ☼ ☄

The magnitude of the Japan quake of 8.9 is incomprehensible. Strong aftershocks continue to shake Japan's main island as the desperate search presses on for survivors from Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami. The death toll continues to rise. There is a radiation threat from a nuclear plant. The Earth's axis has shifted.

Mother Nature is feeling misery and is terribly disappointed in how we've treated her sea babies and oceans, her furry friends and the lands in which they're (supposed to) roam. Her trees, plants and flowers and the air that nourishes all she births, misused and infected with chemicals, pesticides, sewerage, toxic waste and debris.  She's been betrayed by the very people (humans) she has relentlessness, and without question, nourished and supported for centuries. Gaia, Earth Mother, is angry and hurting and is forcing humans to pay attention. She's taking back what's rightfully hers, whatever portion that may be, shaking the Earth, rising the seas in self corrective effort.

Within Her releasing message, we mourn the loss of hundreds of thousands of humans, animals and sea life. Yet there are many people and animals being rescued, who have survived and need our continued care and financial support. Give whatever you can, even a $ dollar or healing energy.  It's free!

The right side of the body sends energy, while the left side of the body receives. The people of Japan, the animals and Mother Earth need your help. By placing your left hand over your heart chakra, while at the same time holding your right hand palm up and facing outward, send heartfelt love, compassion and healing energy to anyone and everyone who's in need. Let us visualize peace and surround the Earth, especially Japan, with a beautiful white light. This light is so warm, loving, and healing and surrounds every living person, tree, plant, animal, fish, dolphin, whale, ape, cat, dog and every living being on the planet. These magnificent gentle, warm rays gently caress, soothe, penetrate, then heal every living cell in Heavens and on Earth, offering comforting unconditional love. We are blessed, we are all connected, let's offer healing love, compassion, kindness, and gratitude to all on Earth☉
