☆♥*♥☆Aquarius/Leo Relationship Axis☆♥*♥☆

Aquarius/Leo Relationship Axis

Ascendant/Descendant (1st house/7th house)

Knowing the sign of partners 7th house cusp (the relationship house) and the ruler of that house indicates the type of partner you may attract, who you're attracted to, and the method of relating within that relationship.

The Ascendant, or Rising sign, is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the face we show the world, our “mask” for which our Sun hides behind. This is our outer personality, temperament, and disposition as well as how we experienced our early home environment growing up. It is the way others see us and also gives indication of our physical appearance. The ruler of the Ascendant and the aspects (connections to other planets in your birth chart) further delineate and define your physical appearance.

The Descendant, 7th house cusp, its ruler, and the aspects it makes in the natal, symbolize the type of partner you may be attracted to or that you attract into your life. The 7th house attracts all partnerships including marriage and legal contracts yet is also considered the house of open enemies or the Defendant in a law suit.

Aquarius' modern ruler is Uranus and karmic Saturn the ancient ruler. If your Ascendant is Aquarius, you appear honest and truthful. Friendships are easily formed because you're an inventive, interesting conversationalist. You're appearance, style and attire is unique and "different". Because you're a fixed sign, although you are quite fair and tolerant, may also be inflexible and impatient. Interestingly, you are apt to be so friendly, enjoy the company of friends and friendly banter, yet other's are confused because you're completely happy alone.
Your partner may not "get you" or understand your possible aloof and/or erratic nature. With Solar ruled Leo on the descendant, you seek a loyal, outgoing, confident partner, one who will be your best friend. Respect is important. Attraction to a partner with those qualities who is outgoing and a good parent is likely. Independent Aquarians thrive when not feeling tied down

One of the first astrological qualities you may seek in a potential partner, is their Sun placement since the Sun rules your descendant. It is also possible for an Aquarian Ascendant to attract a partner who has Uranus or Saturn prominent in their chart. Prominent Uranus or Saturn would be in aspect to the Sun, Moon, Mars or Venus, or elevated in conjunction to the MC (10th house cusp)or IC (4th house cusp) conjunct or ruling their Ascendant or Descendant or Sun sign in Aquarius.

Knowing the date, time, and place of birth is necessary to determine the Ascendant. This cusp sets up all other cusps; the divisions of  houses or areas of life.

You're not easy to love....
Why is everything, with you so complicated?
Why do you make it hard to love you
While I ha---te it?
Cause if you really wanna be alone, I,
Would throw my hands up cause baby I tried
But everything with you is so complicated,
Oh why (Oh why)?

But it is easier to...
Give than receive love...
Give than receive love.”

☆♥*♥☆Libra/Aries~Relationship Axis☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Libra/Aries Ascendant/Descendant
Relationship Axis (1st house/7th house)

Knowing your partners 7th house cusp (the relationship house) and the ruler of that cusp/house provides a glimpse towards the type of partner that may be attracted or who you're attracted to.  It also illustrates the quality of relating within a relationship.

The Ascendant or Rising sign is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the face we show the world, our “mask” for which the Sun obscures. This is our outer personality, temperament and disposition as well as early childhood environmental influences. It's how others see us and also indicates our physical appearance. The ruler of the Ascendant and the aspects (connections to other planets in the chart) further delineate and define appearance.

The Descendant, or 7th house cusp, its ruler and the aspects it makes in the chart, symbolizes of the type of partner attracted and the relationship desires. The 7th house is the house of all partnerships including marriage and legal contracts, yet also considered the house of open enemies or the Defendant in a law suit.

In relationships, Venus ruled Libra rising is affable, charming, graceful in movement and is attractive. Libra is versatile, well mannered and bestows generous compliments. Librans also enjoy beauty and luxury, therefore a beautifull decorated, comfortable atmosphere is important to Libra. This sign  tends to cultivate a relationship, yet if ends, Libra may try to maintain an amicable relationship afterwards. Libra rising folks are deeply upset by injustice and will take great pains to see this corrected. Libra is refined and discreet, yet sometimes unusually aloof. In love, this placement wants equality. Sharing equally in a partnership and compromise are characterisitic of Libra. Attracted to beauty and maintaining peace are important to Libra's well-being. Because its ruler is Venus, values, beauty, art, relating, poetry, music, and socializing are some of Libra’s finest qualities that want to be shared with a partner.

With Mars ruled Aries on the Descendant, attraction to a partner who is confident, assertive and dynamic is possible. The person could have an angular face with red or auburn hair. Very often a combative or assertive, independent partner may be attracted as a projection of those qualities if not already expressed positively; the likelihood of attracting a partner with Mars prominent in the partners chart is likely. A prominent Mars would be in aspect to the Sun, Moon, Mars or Venus or elevated in conjunction to the MC or conjunct or ruling their Ascendant or Descendant. Mars ruled signs are Aries and Scorpio (double ruler-Pluto).

While the Moon describes ones emotional nature and what soothes and comforts, Venus shows what we're attracted to.  An important, quick method for discering compatibility is to look at the sign on the descendant and the planetary ruler of that sign.  Then, look at what that planet is doing in the chart of yourself and in your partner.  The way your partner integrates that planet and its aspects shows how they "relate" to a partner.  Now, look at your own planet that rules your partners descendant and see how it behaves in your chart. Those energies will be felt directly by your partner.  For instance, with Libra rising, the descendant ruler is Mars.  Look to see what Mars does in your partners chart.  Does it make a lot of aspects to other planets?  Are those connections harmonious or challenging?  What about your own aspects?  How are they integrated in your chart? Relationship challenges can be mitigated then positively cultivated with awareness and desire.

Knowing the date, time and place of birth is important for determining the Ascendant, thereby assessing individual character traits and partnership dynamics.

☆♥*♥☆Virgo/Pisces Relationship Axis☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Virgo/Pisces~Ascendant/Descendant Relationship Axis (1st house/7th house)

The Ascendant or Rising sign is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the face we show the world, our “mask” for which the Sun hides. This is our outer personality, temperament and disposition as well as our early environment growing up. It is the way others see us and also indicates our physical appearance. The planetary ruler of the Ascendant, and the aspects (connections to other planets in your birth chart) further define physical appearance.

The Descendant, or 7th house cusp, its planetary ruler, and the connections it makes to other planets in the birth chart, is symbolic of the type of partner you're attracted to. The 7th house is the house of all partnerships including marriage and legal contracts yet also considered the house of open enemies or the Defendant in a law suit.

For example, Virgo rising projects a cerebral, taciturn self image. There is the aura of proper etiquette; Virgo is usually reserved.  Perfection-seeking is Virgo's domain. Cleanliness is important.

Sexually speaking, the Virgin may alternate between the victim/savior, dominant/submissive dynamic.  Virgo's perfection-seeking lends to experimenting with bisexuality, homosexuality, or even remaining sexually chaste.

With Pisces on the Descendant, you're attracted to a partner who is illusive in some way. He or she can be an alcoholic, a drug user, chronic liar, or and artist who lives in a dream world. In love, this placement would require one to be of service to the other. Often, Virgo risings  attract a first partner who isn't good for them. Virgo is prone to martyr-like tendencies and projects the need to “save” the partner from themselves. Love relationships are a struggle when one is required to care for another or become involved with someone they want to "rescue" or "be" rescued. Whatever we do not own and acknowledge in ourselves (Ascendant) we attract externally (Descendant) to mirror our desires and teach us necessary lessons in relating.

Knowing your partners 7th house cusp (the relationship house) and the ruler of that house, indicates the type of partner you may attract or are attracted to, in addition to how you relate within a relationship. Alternately, if the ruler of your 7th house in your partners chart is heavily aspected in their chart, those energies will be brought into the relationship.

The date, time and place of birth is important in making the determination of the Ascendant or Rising sign, which sets up the house cusps dividing houses or areas of life.

Enjoy your day and remember, I'm available for consultations and readings 7 days via phone, e-mail or in-person.

☆♥*♥☆ Relationship Needs~Self Oriented Versus Other Oriented ☆♥*♥☆

By Lorraine Valente
The astrological chart is designed like a pizza, cut into 12 slices. If we cut the pie/chart in the center from left (East) to right (West) we would form the Ascendant/Descendant relationship axis. (this direction is the reverse of what we are taught about traditional direction)
