Hi Everyone,
Astrologically speaking, we are experiencing a lot of dynamic energy. The cardinal T-square with Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Hades entering Cancer, actually forming a cardinal grand square. By the end of the week, Venus and the Moon are involved in the geometry chaos, and begs for expression. The most productive form of self expression is through the creative impulse. Writing, dancing, singing, music, drawing, athletics, energy-work, gardening, and crafting are a few forms of creative outlets that ease the inherent frustration, changes, and tension experienced in the lives of many. I'd like to share some information or guidance in dealing with the cosmic craziness.
Approximately 4 or more years ago, I was involved in an online discussion with a friend who recommended a book entitled “The Artists Way~A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity" by Julia Cameron. The book was quickly ordered on Half.com, an online site where books and other items are greatly discounted. When it arrived through U.S. mail I quickly removed the wrapping, then fanned and skimmed through the pages and chapters as usual when a new book arrives. Because my focus was on the overwhelming amount of coursework for the classes I was enrolled, the book was placed aside in a pile with other books. I looked forward to reading each of them once class ended. When time permitted, I began to read the well organized pages again. Exploring the concept of a creative force within, the artist, creative or inventor’s brain, and also the logical, survival, censor brain, was noted.
"Snipers are people who undermine your efforts to break unhealthy relationship patterns. " ~Jody Hayes
Ms. Cameron details various methods in which individuals block or sabotage creativity by the company we keep, and friends and people we choose to associate with. One such way in which creative individuals block their creativity is to become involved with what she calls “Crazymakers”. After reading this section, I felt a stabbing sensation in the pit of my stomach which screamed a resounding truth. I’ve experienced more than my share of crazymakers in my life and in interpersonal relationships! :-)
Crazymakers, she states, can be found in almost any setting. The crazymaking dynamic is grounded in power and any group of people can function as an energy system to be exploited and drained. Gangs are notorious crazymakers. Alcoholic families are crazymaking pros. Nuclear families are infamous crazymakers. Politicians are, well, you guessed it.....big time crazymakers. The example she provides is that of the “destructive matriarch who devoted energies to destroying the creativity of her children. Always choosing critical moments for her sabotage, she plants her bombs to explode just as her children approach success” (Cameron, 1992, p. 46).

☆♥*♥☆Healing Water☆♥*♥☆
By Lorraine Valente
Hi Everyone,
I would have written about the energetic cardinal T-square with Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Hades entering Cancer actually forming a cardinal grand square, yet everyone else is writing about it's possible negative manifestation. I want to focus on how we can utilize this dynamic energy in a positive way...Healing Water.
Water is our source of life. Every living being needs water to survive. According to Dr. Masaru Emoto who authored "The Hidden Messages in Water", water in the ocean maintains a memory of all the creatures who ever lived in the sea. His book continues to theorize that water has the ability to copy information, as a result of this memory. Since words are an expression of the Soul, their impact also greatly impacts the water in our body. Dr. Emoto photographed water crystals before and after they were shown words on a piece of paper. Words such as "thank you", "love", and "gratitude" produced beautifully formed crystals, while words such as "you fool", "Satan", and "I'll kill you" produced darkened, deformed crystals .

"A single drop of water can have various ripple effects on an individual" (Emoto, 2004, p. 37).
We are all acutely aware of the environmental assualt of the Gulf oil spill and its effect on sea life. Dolphins, pelicans, sea turtles, birds, coral, fish, and the waters are filled with toxic sludge threatening to destroy our entire ecological system for decades. Dolphins, in particular, are highly intuitive, and acutely sensitive beings. The increase of beached whales and dolphins is indirect response to threatening vibrations and pollution within the ocean. Everything in life has a vibration. Water is also sensitive to frequencies and also reflects images as well as emit its own vibration.
Written words, letters and numbers also emit a vibration. Numerologically, the letters that comprise the words Dolphin, Pelican, and Turtle are each reduced to a number 6. The number six corresponds to "The Lovers" in the Tarot and is a number of harmony, compassionate service, healing, clarity of pupose, and correct choice. Turtle symbolizes Earth Mother and Pelican can hold 3 gallons of water in its pouch. Pelicans move with the tides while Dolphin's create rhythmic sounds and teach the proper use of breathe.

☆♥*♥☆Leo/Aquarius Relationship Axis☆♥*♥☆
Ascendant/Descendant Axis (1st house/7th house)
By Lorraine Valente
Knowing your partners 7th house cusp (the relationship house) and the ruler of that house, indicates the type of partner you may attract or are attracted to and the method of relating within a relationship.
The Ascendant or Rising sign is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the face we show the world, our “mask” for which our Sun hides behind. This is our outer personality, temperament, and disposition as well as our early childhood environment. It is the way others see us and also gives indication of our physical appearance. The ruler of the Ascendant and the aspects (connections to other planets in your birth chart) further delineate and define the appearance and outward personality. The Descendant, or 7th house cusp, its ruler and the aspects it makes in your birth chart, is symbolic of the type of partner you are attracted to or who is attracted to you. The 7th house is the house of types of partnerships including marriage and legal contracts, yet also considered the house of open enemies or the Defendant in a law suit.

☆♥*♥☆Strong Ripe Berries Moon ☆♥*♥☆
By Lorraine Valente
In Native American Astrology, those born from July 22~August 23rd are born during the Ripe Berries Moon and belong to the Thunderbird Clan. Your plant totem is the Raspberry and their animal totem is the Sturgeon. Are you familiar with the sturgeon?
A sturgeon is a really big fish….actually…it's the KING of fishes! It’s a very old and ancient fish that surfaced around the years just after the dinosaurs. Beneath the surface, Sturgeon people are usually very sensitive. They hide this well underneath their great big smile. Leo's keen intuition and perceptions allow them to sense feelings of others. As a result, they are easily hurt.
The color for this sign is red, associated with the heart, blood and their gemstone, the Garnet. Garnet is believed to have the vibrational power to balance sexual energies. The color red can also symbolize erratic action, excessive pride, sensuality and sexuality, greed and selfishness for those less evolved Leo/Sturgeon folk, tending to develop nervous problems during their life.

* I want to be a lion. Everybody wants to pass as cats. ~ Counting Crows
* Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat. ~Robert Heinlein
* A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way. ~Mark Twain
* After dark all cats are leopards. ~Native American Proverb
* All I need to know I learned from my cat. ~Unknown
* A cat likes to be petted, anywhere, anytime. ~Unknown
* He pushed me off a building, just when I was beginning to feel good about myself. ~Catwoman
* Cats' hearing apparatus is built to allow the human voice to easily go in one ear and out the other. ~Stephen Baker

☆♥*♥☆ STRENGTH~Number VIII~Leo☆♥*♥☆
By Lorraine Valente
In The Tarot deck, card #8 is symbolic of the sign of Leo. This card presents a lovely, peaceful, generous (naked in some decks) woman standing, bowing, over a Lion. She is stroking his regal mane, as he appears to be purring like a little kitten!! :-) The Lion is unafraid and trusting. This IS Leo! The King of the Jungle can be tamed if you stroke his fur in the right direction. Have you ever pet a real kitty’s fur in the wrong direction? They look at you in such away as to imply “HOW DARE YOU!!!” “I am the King or Queen and I expect to be treated the same!” Puleeeeese don’t fluff my fur the wrong way!
The Strength card represents unadulterated strength, determination, and power. However, this card presents a gentle woman, unarmed and without protective armor (unlike the Chariot in card #7 which is “outer strength and will”). She overcomes the lion with her quiet strength; power emanating from within. Strength is symbolic of the inner power of the human spirit to overcome crises, blocks, and obstacles.
Often reflective of calming the beast within, Strength symbolizes psychotherapy. CArd number 8, which is essentially female, aligns her intuition to keep the lion (our unconscious desires) calm and in control. The lion in this card is also symbolic of courage to encounter powerful forces, placing fear aside, and to claim our own power.
When Strength appears in a reading, creative thinking, speaking with honesty and truthfulness are combined to promote the ego and ethical behavior. Taming passions, courage, determination, generosity and having an open heart are indicated.
Negatively (reverse), domination, lack of control, wasting time and self indulgence would be possibilities.
Enjoy your day and remember, I'm available for consultations and readings 7 days via phone, e-mail or in-person.

☆♥*♥☆ Happy Birthday Leo~! ☆♥*♥☆
by Lorraine Valente
Happy Birthday Leo the Lion! For those born between July 22~Aug 23rd. The Key Phrase is: I ROAR…oops...only teasing ;-).
I WILL
Applause, applause!! Leo’s love an audience and usually position themselves to be the center of attention. They have a keen need to feel appreciated and accomplish something in life they feel proud of. Leo is a masculine, fixed (steady and determined), fire (intuitive, fiery) sign located in the 2nd quadrant (other oriented/inter-personal) of the Western Hemisphere of the chart.
Because Leo resides in the 5th house of the zodiac and is ruled by the Sun, our life force, ego ideal, the future, children, creativity, and romance are most important to Leo. Leo loves romance and shine brightly in most relationships…so long as they are viewed as “King”. They can be incredibly charming and possess a fun, child-like carefree attitude. Leo is recognized by their charismatic presence and a great big smile. When Leo enters a room, people take notice! Leo is also known for a warm hearted and affectionate nature. Naturally self expressive, Leo is the drama Queen or King of the zodiac and also King of the Jungle!! (or Queen of the office or hearth!) The luminary ruling Leo is our life giving Sun. The Sun shines brightly during the day sky with our Moon goddess absorbing his light to reflect back in the evening, once the Sun has disappeared from view. The glyph/symbol for the sign of Leo is associated with kundalini energy. Kundalini is coiled at the base of the spine and is our vital energy.
Ain't no other man, can stand up next to you.Ain't no other man on the planet does what you do.
You're the kinda guy, a girl finds in a blue moon.
You got soul, you got class.
You got style your bad ass - oh yeah!
Ain't no other man it's true - all right -
Ain't no other man but you.

☆♥*♥☆Firefly~Lightening Bug ☆♥*♥☆
The firefly or lightening bug is abundant during the warm summer evenings. Fireflies are fascinating creatures that light up our nights and bring a sense of magic, wonder, and mystery to our environment. As dusk unfolds, little glimmers of light waltz on the darkened canvas. Significant flickers of light bestow guidance while their energy illuminates and inspires creativity. The firefly primarily uses its light in mating ceremonies, and it is quite elaborate an intricate. Light signals are precise and exactly timed in order to attract the right mate. This is a symbolic message that if we are to attract important people, places and things in our lives, we must know what we want, plan accordingly, lay down the groundwork, and be persistent and focused in our ideals.
When firefly appears, it's time to connect the dots and write down your ideas and thoughts. Flashes of inspiration are possible. Catch them if you can! Spiritual gifts are presenting themselves. It is time to trust rhythms, patterns, and synchronous events.
Fireflies remind us that like attracts like. Whatever energy we put out into the Universe, is returned to us. The possibility of attracting "the one", your Soul Mate is pronounced. Flickering messages of Light inspire hope.

☆♥*♥☆New Moon Solar Eclipse☆♥*♥☆
By Lorraine Valente
Busy, busy, busy is what many of you have been experiencing. There is a lot of energy building in the cosmos. Last month we experienced a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 26th at 4+ degrees Capricorn/Cancer. For those born late March, June, September and December that Eclipse degree would have impacted your birth chart. Cardinal energy is dynamic. It signifies action, initiative, activity and leadership ability. Cardinal folks are the one's who create new projects, start new businesses, experience many physical moves, and always doing something. This coming Sunday, July 11th, a New Moon Solar Eclipse takes place at 19-20 degrees of Cancer. Individuals born between July 11-14th, as well as individuals with these degrees in their chart will feel the effects of this Eclipse's energy most. During a Solar Eclipse, events, situations and people enter one's life for the next 6-9 months and up to a full year.
The day before the New Moon Solar Eclipse, lovely Venus changes signs and moves into practical, discriminating Virgo. On the 21st of July, Saturn re-enters Venus-ruled Libra and hovers there until October, 2012. Saturn rules structure, karma, teaching, and one's career (to name a few) and positioned in Libra, focuses energy in the area of relationships. Many relationships will be tested, restructured or end while others will start anew.
Later in the month, the Sun enters Leo on July 22nd, while Jupiter turns retrograde the day after at 3+ degrees of Aries, squaring the Eclipse of June 26th leading up to a Full Aquarius Moon on July 25th. The month culminates in a dynamic t-square configuration of players: Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus & Pluto. Be mindful of your own and others actions. Dramatic events will appear in the news. We are undergoing a tremendous amount of change deep within our collective psyche as well as deep within the Earth. Visualize, in your mind's eye, what most brings happiness to your life. Hold a picture of our beautiful oceans filled with glorious sea life, dolphins smiling and playfully gliding along in their pods. Focus a small portion of your thoughts to healing our planet. Mother Nature feels distress. She needs to feel some positive healing energy and support because she feels neglected. Practice patience, tolerance, and acceptance during your days. Take your vitamins, exercise, smile, kiss your children, lover, cat and/or dog and get plenty of rest. :-)
