I would have written about the energetic cardinal T-square with Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Hades entering Cancer actually forming a cardinal grand square, yet everyone else is writing about it's possible negative manifestation. I want to focus on how we can utilize this dynamic energy in a positive way...Healing Water.
Water is our source of life. Every living being needs water to survive. According to Dr. Masaru Emoto who authored "The Hidden Messages in Water", water in the ocean maintains a memory of all the creatures who ever lived in the sea. His book continues to theorize that water has the ability to copy information, as a result of this memory. Since words are an expression of the Soul, their impact also greatly impacts the water in our body. Dr. Emoto photographed water crystals before and after they were shown words on a piece of paper. Words such as "thank you", "love", and "gratitude" produced beautifully formed crystals, while words such as "you fool", "Satan", and "I'll kill you" produced darkened, deformed crystals .
"A single drop of water can have various ripple effects on an individual" (Emoto, 2004, p. 37).
We are all acutely aware of the environmental assualt of the Gulf oil spill and its effect on sea life. Dolphins, pelicans, sea turtles, birds, coral, fish, and the waters are filled with toxic sludge threatening to destroy our entire ecological system for decades. Dolphins, in particular, are highly intuitive, and acutely sensitive beings. The increase of beached whales and dolphins is indirect response to threatening vibrations and pollution within the ocean. Everything in life has a vibration. Water is also sensitive to frequencies and also reflects images as well as emit its own vibration.
Written words, letters and numbers also emit a vibration. Numerologically, the letters that comprise the words Dolphin, Pelican, and Turtle are each reduced to a number 6. The number six corresponds to "The Lovers" in the Tarot and is a number of harmony, compassionate service, healing, clarity of pupose, and correct choice. Turtle symbolizes Earth Mother and Pelican can hold 3 gallons of water in its pouch. Pelicans move with the tides while Dolphin's create rhythmic sounds and teach the proper use of breathe.
Last summer, I enrolled in an eight week Mindfulness Meditation course. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) combines the use of mindfulness meditation (attention) and yoga. MBSR benefits people who have suffered from various chronic disorders and diseases. Mindfulness cultivates a greater awareness and attention to reactions of the mind and body, as well as tapping into unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that sabotage emotional, physical, and spiritual health. We become what we think about and thoughts can harm or heal.
Meditation has been shown to positively alter many autonomic physiological processes, such as lowering blood pressure and emotional reactivity. Mindfulness teaches attention to or attending to our inner processes, another or a thing. When we slow down our immediate gut level responses, not only do we appreciate differences but see nuances we would usually miss. In the "must see" film Avatar, the Na' vi greet each other a bit differently than most. Upon meeting it is customary to lock eyes and utter the words "I see you" (Cameron, 2009). Their deep, intuitive inner knowing exemplifies the concept of mindfulness. It involves attending to one's inner feelings and behavior and the feelings and behavior's of others with deep understanding. It's a form of respect." I see you" is the equivalent of, "I see your Soul".
Compulsive behaviors compromise mindfulness (Brown & Ryan, 2003). The Type A personality is generally outwardly focused not attending to their inner signals, the intuitive body. This form of consciousness or awareness corresponds to what has been called emotional intelligence, clarity of one's emotional states. If we are aware of our emotional states, we can pause before reacting, or overreacting resulting in less stress.
Mindfulness meditation is an excellent tool for learning to assist individuals with anxiety, stress, anger, eating disorders, and recovery from many addictions. When we are introspective, knowledge in gained, and perspective is enhanced through the inner journey. It is through introspection that healing occurs.
The video below is explains mindfulness quite well. I hope you enjoy it.
