☆♥*♥☆ Happy Birthday Leo ☆♥*♥☆

Happy Birthday Leo♌~!
For those born between July 22~Aug 23rd.
Key Phrase is: I ROAR....ooops...only teasing... I WILL

Applause, applause!! Leo’s love an audience and usually position themselves to be the center of attention. They have a keen need to feel appreciated and accomplish something in life they feel proud of. Leo♌ is a masculine, fixed (steady and determined), fire (intuitive, fiery) sign located in the 2nd quadrant (other oriented and inter-personal)  Western Hemisphere of the chart. Because Leo resides in the 5th house ruled by the Sun, our life force, ego ideal, the future, children, creativity, and romance are most important to Leo♌. Leo loves romance and shine brightly in most relationships…so long as they are viewed as “King”.

Leo's may be incredibly charming and possess a fun, child-like carefree attitude. Leo is recognized by their charismatic presence and a great big smile. When Leo enters a room, people take notice! Leo is also known for a warm hearted and affectionate nature. Naturally self expressive, Leo is the drama Queen or King of the zodiac and also King of the Jungle!! (or Queen of the office or hearth!) The luminary ruling Leo is our life giving Sun. The Sun shines brightly during the day sky with our Moon goddess absorbing his light to reflect back in the evening, once the Sun has disappeared from view. The glyph/symbol for the sign of Leo♌ is associated with kundalini energy. Kundalini is coiled at the base of the spine and is our vital energy.

Leo♌ rules the spine, back, and heart. The heart is associated with emotions and love, and Leo’s can be absolutely devoted to those they love. The heart chakra is the life force and where harmony and trust reside. When the heart chakra is “open” there is flexibility to give and receive love. Being open to change and accepting of new ideas leads to personal growth. When feeling hurt, Leo retreats to their “cave” to lick their wounds, in private. When the heart chakra is closed or off balance, the ability to receive or give love is compromised. Count to ten and practice deep breathing. Individuals with the Ascendant in Leo and/or planets in the 5th house may exhibit some of these personality characteristics.
Leo’s polar opposite (5th house~romance, children, creativity, gambling) is the fixed, air sign Aquarius (11th house~friendships, organizations, associations, hopes, and wishes). Integrating romance, children, and creative outlets with independence, individuality, friendships, and associations are concerns for Leo♌, also contingent upon other areas of the birth chart.

When under stress each sign operates through the most negative characteristics of their polar opposite; the sign 180 degrees opposite itself. When under stress, Leo♌ may become erratic, unpredictable, and extremely willful and can not be tied down at all, similiar to airy Aquarius, the water bearer, ruled by iconoclast Uranus. Aquarians seem distant or cool because they are air and tend to “think”or intellectualize emotions. When under stress, Leo♌ will toss whatever is troubling them over the shoulder and say, "I simply don't need this!" While this may be an emotional issue, it is more likely concerning a relationship or romantic partner.

Since Leo is a "Lion", let's celebrate Leo♌ as symbol for all cats, large and small. If you properly stroke or caress Leo (grooming fur in one direction) Leo will purrrrrrr… When cat’s purr they express contentment. They don't want their fur fluffed in the wrong direction though! Beware. They'll swipe you with a clawed-extended paw! Lions are very protective of their cubs (children). If Leo is prominent in your chart, children (your cubs) are your lifeline.

The sound of a cat purring is soothing and healing. You might enjoy the article "A Cats Purr" at this site: http://paulapeterson.com/CatsPurr.html Cats are natural Reiki Masters and Massage Therapists. Simply watch any kitty “kneed” a pillow, your arm, any soft spot on your body or your other cat!

☆♥*♥☆ October's Cosmic Events ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Hi Stargazers...

Peek~a~boo~!

Another dynamic month is upon us with the Sun and Mercury in Venus-ruled Libra, while both relationship planets, Mars and Venus share intensity in the sign of Scorpio.  These two can read each other's mind, kinda sorta.  It's intense, truth-seeking, passionate and determined. However, Venus is turning retrograde (rx) early October 8th, here on the East coast, a day before the New Libra Moon. Relationships and friendships are up for review.  Old lovers may return with something to share. This can be a challenging time for relationships because we want the truth, we need to talk it out, smoothe it out yet words can be emotionally charged.  Whatever it means to you, speak your truth.  Mean what you say.  It's okay to speak your mind clearly.  Trust the process and always follow your heart.

Here's the planetary rundown:

October 3: Mercury -----> Libra
October 7: New Moon 14+ degeres Libra
October 8: Venus turns rx 13 degrees+ Scorpio through November 18th at 27 degrees Libra
October 10: World Day of Interconnectedness~Peace to Earth Mother and all People and Animals
October 11: Columbus Day observed in the United States
October 20: Mercury -----> Scorpio, Mars trines Jupiter in pm
October 22: Full Moon 29+ degrees Aries
October 23: Sun ----> Scorpio
October 28: Mars ----> Sagittarius, Sun conjuncts Venus pm
October 31:  Happy Halloween, Samhain, Wiccan New Year

3 days before the New Moon on October 7th is the balsamic phase. This phase is also called the Wishing Moon..............

Make a Wish, Blow a Kiss to the Universe~!

Have a wonderful week~! If you want to learn more about this topic and others, schedule a phone, or e-mail consultation at Fuchsiastars@aol.com. I'm also available via Skype and Facebook.

☆♥*♥☆ When Planets Retrograde ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Hi Everyone,

There's a lot of discussion about retrograde planets and their meaning when they are retrograding.  When a planet is retrograde, it is an apparent backward motion of a planet.

I'll share below how often retrograde (rx) planets change directions:

Mercury is Rx for 24 days; is stationary for approximately 3 days.

Venus is Rx for 42 days; is stationary for approximately 11 days.

Mars is Rx for 80 days; is stationary for approximately 20 days.

Jupiter is Rx for 120 days; is stationary for approximately 10 days.

Saturn is Rx for 140 days; is stationary for approximately 10 days.

Uranus is Rx for 150 days; is stationary for approximately 16 days.

Neptune is Rx for 160 days; is stationary for approximately 16 days.

Pluto is Rx for 160 days; is stationary for approximately 16 days.

The Sun and Moon are never retrograde. Planets from Mars to Pluto turn Rx when they reach an opposition to the Sun, and outer planets remain Rx longest.

Retrograde planets have three phases:

1). The direct motion until the the planet first stations (stops before changing directions),

2). The retrograde motion (apparent backward motion),

3). The direct motion following the second station (before changing directions forward). During this time, as the planet slows down to change direction, this stationary period in between is the most energetically powerful and usually triggers events or illuminates an awareness that may have been already unconsciously known, only to become conscious during forward motion of the involved planet.

☆♥*♥☆ Relationship Needs~Self Oriented Versus Other Oriented ☆♥*♥☆

By Lorraine Valente
The astrological chart is designed like a pizza, cut into 12 slices. If we cut the pie/chart in the center from left (East) to right (West) we would form the Ascendant/Descendant relationship axis. (this direction is the reverse of what we are taught about traditional direction)
