☆♥*♥☆ The 12th House ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

The 12th House, home for Pisces

The 12th house is one of paradoxes and possibilities both positive and negative. It is a most creative house yet it can also be the house of self undoing when lacking definition and purpose. The Collective Unconscious, a Jungian term, would be found in this house. This is also the last trimester of pregnancy during which the developing fetus psychically absorbs the mothers emotional state.

According to Karen Hamaker-Zontag, the 12th house is also the house of unreality and where childhood fears are formed. Children symbiotically absorb the problems and attitudes of their parents. Often parents were not aware of these issues because they were repressed. For instance, a child with Neptune in the 12th may have had a parent or grandparent with paranormal gifts who were frightened of them, or had been told by the Church that such gifts were acts of the Devil. Planets in the 12th, or in aspect to the ruler of the 12th often indicate what an individual is likely to do when they're alone.

☆♥*♥☆ Neptune ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Denial is a protective device, a shock absorber for the soul. It prevents us from acknowledging reality “until” we feel prepared to cope with that particular reality. People can shout and scream the truth at us, but we will not see or hear it until we are ready.
~ Melodie Beattie~The Language of Letting Go.

Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces and, therefore, points to where you're acutely sensitive to undertone and nuances. Neptune rules the seas and they may be calm and dreamy or violent and steamy. The ocean or sea is symbolic of the collective unconscious and, thus, where Neptune is located in the chart is where you'll find these dreamlike archetypes. He's the pink fairy dust, sweetening life, contributing to fairy tales and fantasy.  Neptune points to the "Mystic".  The mystic "sees" things others are incapable of discerning, one of the reasons Pisces may loose self as a result of invalidation from others who are more grounded in physical rather than spiritual reality.

He also “blurs” our vision of reality and may create self-deception or draw deceptive people and situations into the life of the individual. Neptune and/or Neptune transits may be prevalent in addiction and addictive behaviors, when people feel lost or drowning at sea.  Poetic prose and magnificent works of art are inspired by their unconscious vision. With Venus/Neptune  there are both positive and negative possiblities.  Negatively, there could be deception or lack of clarity in love, idealistic expectations of the loved one, affairs, or alcoholism and drug abuse. The positive manifestation is sensitivity, sweetness, adoration, artistic and/or musical ability, dance, and a compassionate, kind, romantic soul. Neptune is so romantic that it's considered by some to actually be the glue that maintains romantic love in a long term relationship. Mars/Neptune can dissipate energy; energy “leaks” are common, and passive/aggressive behavior is likely, on the negative side. The positive manifestation would be psychic ability, acute intuitive sensitivity as well as a deeply romantic, sensual nature.

Neptune and Pisces may have uncertain or undefined boundaries because they may have been overstepped or not properly demonstrated in childhood. Boundaries consist of invisible delineation of space between "you" and "me".  They offer limitations of what will and will not be tolerated or accepted from others. They indicate where you and I begin and end. Often, when Neptune, Pisces and the 12th house are involved, there may be undefined boundary issues, especially in interpersonal relationships. The lack of personal boundaries may have been learned as a result of experieincing an invasive, overbearing parents or siblings. The reverse may be true where there was a lack of parental involvement or supervision andthe child was left to dream. Lack of vision, or clarity is felt within the parental household, on an unconscious level.  For instance, parents may have kept secrets from the children or from each other. There is something vague, that doesn't feel trusting or is simply illusive. Sometimes all it really means is having grown up in an artistic home with parents who were a little different, unique, metaphysical or even psychic! Often too much is given up or not enough, just to be in a relationship and keep the peace. Neptune blurs the line between people, places and things.  It also might not know where to draw the line in relationships and results inbeing too accepting and "nice".

The way to embrace a friendship with Neptune is by honoring yourself.  Self love isn't selfish, it's self caring. Shower yourself with compassionate self regard then reap what you sow.

☆♥*♥☆Pisces/Virgo Relationships☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

The Pisces/Virgo ~Ascendant/Descendant
Relationship Axis (1st house/7th house)

Knowing your partners 7th house cusp (the relationship house) and the ruler of that house will indicate the type of partner you may attract or are attracted to and the method of relating within a relationship.

The Ascendant, or Rising sign, is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the face we show the world, the “mask” behind which the Sun hides. This is the outer personality, temperament and disposition as well as how the early early home life was experienced and the environment  we grew up in. It is the way others see us and also indicates the physical appearance. The ruler of the Ascendant and the aspects (connections to other planets in your birth chart) further delineate and define physical appearance.

The Descendant, or 7th house cusp, its ruler and the aspects it makes in your birth chart, is symbolic of the type of partner you are attracted to. The 7th house is the house of all partnerships including marriage and legal contracts yet also considered the house of open enemies or the Defendant in a law suit.

Whatever we do not own in ourselves we tend to attract the negative qualities or shadow through the 7th house. In relationships, Pisces♓ has Neptune as the modern ruler and with benefic Jupiter as the ancient ruler. If you have a Pisces Ascendant, you appear mercurial and may have a naïve disposition. You may be more spiritual than most. Because you are a mutable sign, although you are flexible indecisiveness if possible. Physical appearance is soft and gentle. Artistic expression is a must and you have an active fantasy life. Because you're  a mutable sign, there are moments of ambivalence, indecisiveness and ever changing your mind. Worry, self deception and denial is possible. Pisces rising folks tend to have sensual lips and very large, soft eyes. With Mercury☿ ruled Virgo♍ on the Descendant you seek a methodical, practical, articulate partner. Mutual sharing and communication within any partnership is absolutely critical to you. You desire intelligence and refinement in a partner. Attraction to a partner with those qualities who is organized and analytical as well as being health conscious is possible.

☆♥*♥☆ Big Winds Moon~Cougar☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Big Winds Moon (Cougar)

In Native American Astrology, those born from February 19th~March 20th are born under the Big Winds Moon and their animal totem is the Cougar. Their color is blue-green of the turquoise and turquoise is also their totem in the mineral kingdom. They are of the Frog Elemental clan.

The stone turquoise is one of the oldest stones used for adornment and protection. Native Americans utilize this stone in much of their jewelry. When worn it was thought to keep its owner from injury or danger.

By J. Peiker, Nature Photographer
Cougar people are natural healers. They're comfortable in magical and mystical realms. These people have the ability to absorb both positive and negative energy from others so it is important for them to always stay grounded in Earth.

The Cougar is the largest cat in North America. Like all cats, cougar is a hunter and enjoys the chase in a hunt. Cougar/Puma is a mountain lion and is solitary and territorial. This cat is one of the best runners and climbers. Their speed and endurance is exemplary. They are possess swift reactions and are capable to going to distant places that few others travel, and why athey are considered Divine messengers. Their ability to sit perched and still for hours to ambush his prey is unmatched. They facial markings are stunning! This is one of the few cats who hunts during the day.

J. Peiker, Nature Photographer
Cougar possesses stalking ability; the ability to move in silence. Balance is essential to their well being. When off balance they become moody yet with the proper direction can be most productive. When cougar appears as your animal totem, he often warns of a lesson that comes in terms of an experience. Coming into your own power, exerting your influence, patience and silence and increased intuitive ability would be utilized if under personal attack.

☆♥*♥☆ The Hanged Man ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

The Hanged Man~Card Number 12

Hanged Man~Rider~Waite
The Hanged Man card in the Tarot deck is card #12 and is symbolic of sacrifice. In this way the Hanged Man relates to the sign of Pisces. The Hanged Man is hanging upside down, tied by one foot with the other leg folded behind him freely, with his hands behind his back and a lovely glowing halo crowning his head. Upon first glance you may think he is being punished for some reason and being held captive. Upon closer examination, he doesn’t look unhappy in this position. He is a willing victim/participant and seems at peace. Sacrifice may be necessary; relinquishing confining thoughts and ideas from the past in order to see the light and seek enlightenment. Push aside temptations or instant gratification and just “hang around” and wait it out!

The Ego loses dominance with card number 12. Ruled by illusive Neptune, we adopt feelings and appreciation of mystical vibrations that move beyond the intellectual. Here is where we surrender to a "Higher Power". Priorities change with a selflessness striving towards excellence. Thoughts are stabilized. Shortcomings of constant self gratification become vividly clear. Hidden meanings are contemplated. Sometimes there is a need or desire to give up something in order to receive something of greater value. The Hanged man understands that life is about infinite change and now is the time to listen to intuitive hunches and trust one's own judgment. Spiritual hibernation enables us to view life from an altered state.  In this state, experiences alter values, priorities change and the belief system is shaken.
The 12th number is the “Law of Reversal”; Reversal of thought or a changed viewpoint when the “truth” is realized. Self surrender follows naturally: "I trust the Universe to bring exactly what I want, at the perfect time".

When this card appears in a reading there's a need pause in matters about the question at hand. Sometimes it means a lack of commitment in a relationship reading or being at a stand still or cross roads. Someone isn’t sure about the relationship because there is one foot in and one foot out the door! The Hanged Man can indicate the commitment-phobe. Is he hanging in there or simply hung up? Hanged Man urges to let go of false perceptions and embrace a different point of view.

☆♥*♥☆ Happy Birthday Pisces, Full Moon ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Happy Birthday Pisces!

For those born between February 18th~March 20th
The Key Phrase is: I Believe.

Pisces is a mutable (changeable, flexible), water (intuitive, emotions) sign located in the Eastern Hemisphere of the chart. Pisces governs the last house, the 12th house, of the natural zodiac. 12th house areas of life invludes hospitals, institutions, confinement, dreams, large animals, psychic influences and meditation, solitude, secret sorrows, sensing, and the subconscious, to name a few. Pisceans are usually those most willing sacrifice themselves for others. They are compassionate and idealistic, often to a fault. If you have a Pisces Sun☀, or if you have planets located in the 12th house, you're intuitive and may possess psychic ability. Spending some time alone is conducive as you'll need to trust your intuitive inner guidance.

Those born under this sign and/or or have personal planets in aspect to Neptune make wonderful counselors, healers, nurses, musicians, dancers, ice skaters, visionary writers, and artists. The Piscean personality is mutable (changeable) and easily influenced by family and friends rather than paying closer attention to their keen intuition. They feel and know things about people that may be invalidated by others. When their insights are repeatedly ignroed,  Pisces begins to believe that their reality is inaccurate and wrong. The truth is that others are not as keenly aware, or they're in denial about what Pisces intuit so easily.

Piscean♓ health issues relates to the feet and immune system; strange illnesses, silent viruses or autoimmune disorders, some of which may have been hidden such as anemia, HIV, AIDS, or Herpes. Sometimes symptoms appear and a diagnosis is difficult to make. Pisces’ polar opposite (12th house~hospitals) is Virgo (6th house~health). The immune system is under strain when Neptune♆ makes difficult angle connections by transit to planets (conjunctions, squares, oppositions and quincunx).

Your ruling planet is the romantic, dreamy, wispy, illusive and mutable planet Neptune. Neptune is fog…you simply can’t “grasp” it and it’s often too dense to see through it. If Neptune is strong in your chart, you may have artistic or musical ability. The image I envision of Neptune is the Good Fairy sprinkling fairy dust that temporarily clouds your good judgment. Since Neptune/Pisces rules the feet, ballet dancers and other forms of dance fall under Neptune’s domain. Negatively, if Pisces folk aren’t in tune with their inner calling, they fall prey to Neptune’s illusions, develop addictive tendencies and a victim mentality causing them to lose their way; lost at sea. Alcohol is poison to Pisces folks.

Sexually speaking, the Pisces/Virgo polarity symbolizes the role of victim/savior, sadomasochism, experimentation, visual stimulation and images that fuel an active inner fantasy world; pornography and voyeurism is likely. Erogenous zones are the feet.

Collective consciousness is the polar opposite of individual consciousness; in the Piscean personality, therefore, the individual ego may be quite weak, while the pletora of universal images is exceptionally strong. Consequently, Pisces is easily influenced, and may come to believe, from listening to friends, parents, or teachers~that his or her intuitive slant on reality is somehow inappropriate or simply wrong .

Since Pisces♓ is the last sign of the zodiac, some say it is the most spiritually evolved sign because compassion and selflessness are indicative of a person with Pisces energy. There is a gentleness, softness and innocence related to this sign. One of the 3 emotional water signs, Pisces lives in a world of dreams and romance. This romantic soul wants to feel deeply connected with their partner.

The Sun's☀ entrance into Pisces♓ at 7:25pm EST, arrives hours after the Full Leo♌ Moon at 29 degrees.

Heres what's happening:

Full Regulus Moon, Friday, February 18, 2011 3:36am EST then Sun☀ ----> Pisces 7:25pm
29 Leo♌, Fixed Star Regulus = Success if revenge is avoided, Healing, Nobility, Great Power & Leadership, Nobility.
Mystic Rectangle = Node 29 Sagittarius♐ ---> Moon 29 Leo♌ --->South Node 29 Gemini 44♊ ---> Neptune/Sun/Chiron ---> Node 29 Sagittarius♐

Sun/Moon = 29 Scorpio♏

☆♥*♥☆ Asteroid #447~Valentine ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

447 Valentine was discovered by Max Wolf and A. Schwassmann on October 27, 1899 in Heidelberg as is considered a Main Belt Asteroid. As synchronicity would have it, Valentine is number 447. In numerology, this number totals 6! (4+4+7=15 or 1+5 = 6) The number 6 just happens to be the Lovers Card in the Tarot deck and symbolic of compassionate love, choices, service and often the “Soul Mate”. Astrologically, asteroid Valentine has a strong relationship to the 7th house of one-to-one relationships, sweethearts,  “love” relationships, partnerships and the relating principle.
As children, we may have sent those cute little “Valentine’s” in the shape of a heart, or heart-shaped boxes filled with confections to the cherished one. Asteroid Valentine may also indicate a communication we send or receive from another in the form of  hand-written letters, e-mails, TXT messages, a "tweet", a wink, a "poke" or even junk e-mail!

Transiting Valentine is at 09° Sagittaruis♐ 09’ on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2011.  Valentine trines Jupiter in Aries

Where's Valentine located in your birth chart? Your partner's?

☆♥*♥☆ Love ~ TNO 2003 ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Hi Cosmic Cohorts!

According to Wikipedia, the New Encyclopedia, a trans-Neptunian object (TNO; also written transneptunian object) is any minor planet in the Solar System that orbits the Sun at a greater distance on average than Neptune. The Kuiper belt, scattered disk, and Oort cloud are three divisions of this volume of space.

The first trans-Neptunian object to be discovered was Pluto♇ in 1930. It took more than 60 years to discover, in 1992, a second trans-Neptunian object, (15760) 1992 QB1, with only the discovery of Pluto's moon Charon before that in 1978. Since then however, over 1,000 trans-Neptunian objects have been discovered, differing in sizes, orbits, and surface composition. 198 of these (as of November, 2009) have their orbit well enough determined that they are given a permanent minor planet designation. The largest known trans-Neptunian objects are Pluto♇ and Eris, followed by Makemake and Haumea. To read more about NTO's click here: Trans-Neptunian Objects

TNO 2003 MW12 Love #174567 was discovered on June 21, 2003, 6:33pm, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The Sun☀ was at 29° degrees Gemini, the same degree as our December 21, 2010, Total Lunar Eclipse.  In this chart, Venus is conjunct Mercuryin Gemini♊, both out-of-bounds (OOB), ruling the discovery charts Ascendant, 14° degrees Libra♎.  An upcoming New Moon on April 3rd, 2011 will illuminate this charts descendant, along with firey Mars.  I'll save discussion on the April 3rd New Moon for a later date.  On June 21, Love's Anniversary, the Sun changes signs for the Summer Solstice/Midsummer in the northern hemisphere, depending on which part of the Globe you reside.

Also on the discovery day, Venus was out-of-bounds (OOB) trining Neptune, opposing Pluto, and sextiling Jupiter.  She connected to the Moon with a creative quintile, while drawing energy from her contraparallel to karmic SaturnVenus trine Neptune is ultra sensitive, gentle, loving, musical, creative, and compassionate; opposite Pluto, unconscious patterns of fear and/or control in love along with a passionate love nature; sextile Jupiter, a generous disposition; quintile the Moon magnetic emotional receptiveness, and heightened intuition.

"Love, Love, Love
Love is all you need..."  ~ Beatles

In the news on that date, June, 21, 2003, Priests criticized gay cleryman, a runaway train injured many in Los Angeles, an Autism conference addressed family concerns, and so much more.  Click for more 2003 news:  ABC News Headlines.  The Chicago Tribune posted an article about Internet Cafe's offering more than just "web". Venus, socializing, conjunct Mercuryin Gemini, importance of communication, guiding the chart. No doubt a proliferation in Internet matchmaking and dating sites. Click here for that article: Internet Cafe's. China's largest designated Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) hospital closed the day prior, discharging its final patients.

Discovery charts are fascinating; Mundane events mirror the nature of the planet or asteroid discovered.  I've been unable to locate an Emphemeris that contains TNO Love.  If anyone locates it, I'd love to know. However, Asteroid Lova is currently transiting 3°Capricorn. Where does "Lova" fall in your chart?

☆♥*♥☆ Venus, Pluto, Eros & Psyche ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

The Universe is steaming up...today, 2/9/11: Venus conjuncts (kisses) Pluto♇ in earthy, Capricorn in the evening, here on the East coast.  Venus symbolizes what we love, the love nature, attraction and what's valued. Pluto is deep, dark, powerful, sexual, and demanding honesty.  When these two meet up for a celestial kiss, their combined energy sizzles into obsessive love, smoldering possessive desires, and intensely passionate sexual expression.  This dramatic tango lasts the day then Venus departs, passing over Pluto.  He sits alone patiently, then ever so gently whispers to Lunar Goddess, the Cancerian ♋ Moon ☽as she traverses 180° across his path on Valentine's Day.

The month of February wouldn't be complete without discussing those asteroids relating to theloversholiday.
Kissing by Alex Grey
Eros has sex for the intimacy and power it brings and for the potential to transform by touching the divine soul of another, at whatever cost.” ~Kim Falconer. Eros soars all over the Earth, equipped with his bow and arrow, “bewitching” all the arrow strikes. Cupid's arrow lands upon us when we least expect it; Erotic love and passion ignite. When Eros transits, it may indicate areas of life where erotic love and/or passion awaken and possess the power to transform us.

Martha Lang-Westcott describes Eros as representing what turns us on and defines sexual interest. "It is the essential element of the survival instinct, and for this reason, it is often prominent in death charts when the “drive to love” is shadowed by transit and/or directions or progressions."

Simply stated, Eros is passionately focused energy. What motivates, empowers or drives a person in the location of Eros.  Eros is the asteroid of eroticism yet may be where we become obsessed.  Aren't all obsessions unhealthy?  If utilized in a healthful way they push us to strive for what's fulfilling.  Without an "obsession" or focus to succeed, doctors would never practice medicine, lawyers wouldn't practice law, painters wouldn't create, and poets wouldn't write. It takes a certain amount of angst, perseverance, and focused obsession to succeed in any area of life. The location of Eros is where or what we're passionately attached to.

Do you know where your Eros is? In synastry, chart compatibility, if your Eros is conjunct, trine, or opposite your partners, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Ascendant, Descendant, or their Name asteroid (true, most of you have an asteroid named after yourself) this is a good indication of erotic/sexual attraction/love/attachment. The sign indicates the methods, displays, and manifestation of passion while the house demonstrates areas of life you feel most passionate. Aspects or connections to other planets tell the story. What are you passionate about?

When Eros is conjunct (in the same degree) as a partner's Psyche, you have found your Soul Mate as Eros and Psyche were mythical ancient Lovers. According to Guttman and Johnson, theirs is a story of love (Eros) in search of a soul (Psyche) and a soul in search of love. This myth is highly symbolic of marriage even in contemporary times. We find our mates, starry eyed and smitten. After awhile we dare to look and see them as they really are; disillusionment sets in. Whether separation is emotional or physical, it somehow occurs. The partnership goes through a series of tests, trials, and challenges discovering how strong the bond or union actually is. If strong, it survives these challenges, and becomes stronger than ever. Eros and Psyche are happily reunited as equals at the end of their story.

Currently, Eros is transiting 4° Aquarius, and Psyche at 11° Gemini.  On Valentine's Day, asteroid Eros transits 7° Aquarius 38'♒ .  The Sabian Symbol for 7° Aquarius♒  is "A Child Born Out of an Eggshell".  This is one of the many "Aquarian" degree symbols simply perfect for this sign! Expect the unexpected.  Emerging in a rather unique way.  The creative impulse.  Rounding up to the next degee is 8° Aquarius "Beautifully Gowned Wax Figures on Display".  An obvious "representation" of life presenting an image of beauty that is unreal.  The expression "Beauty is only skin-deep" comes to mind. The image appears to lack any real substance and is a put on, a fake.

Happy Valentine's Day, wear red, eat chocolate. :-)

☆♥*♥☆ Poseidon, Ceres ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, "4341 Poseidon (1987 KF) is an Apollo asteroid and Near-Earth object discovered on May 29, 1987 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory. In Greek Mythology, Poseidon was the god of the sea, known to the Romans and Greeks as Neptune, and to the Etruscans as Nethuns. He was also the god of earthquakes, referred to as "earth-shaker" because of his role in causing earthquakes." It was thought by some that Poseidon was originally an aristocratic horse-god, hence his affinity with horses. Where Poseidon is found, may also cause certain forms of mental disturbance. One Hippocratic text says that he was blamed for certain types of epilepsy. Sailors prayed to Poseidon for a safe voyage, sometimes drowning horses as a sacrifice.

According to Martha Lang Westcott, some keywords that describe Poseidon are: uplifting people and ideas, psychic vibrations, persuasion, intellectual or spiritual influences, ideological or moral stances, spreading ideas, advertising and marketing, an interest in business practices and ethics, inspiration, religion, mediums, clarity, enlightenment, receptivity to "The Force", reactions to the media, windows, mirrors, and the refraction of light.  These keywords demonstrate multi-faceted characteristics of Poseidon.  We already know that Neptune diffuses light (awareness) and may cloud judgment, yet also manifests as "illumination".
Ceres
Poseidon is currently transiting retrograde (rx) at 10+ degrees of Scorpio, in a separating square (tension) from Ceres, Greek Goddess of Agriculture or grain, in the sign of "the collective", Aquarius. Ceres' glyph is a sickle on the cross of matter and resembles an upside-down Saturn .  Ceres is the daughter of Saturn and the sister of Jupiter.  She is considered the "mother" Goddess providing maternal nurturing and sustenance while Saturn provides a protective structural foundation (Earth) by which to plant her seeds, both literally and figuratively. Both Saturn and Ceres are parental figures, feeling most content when relationships with their children are happy.

Ceres (Romans), or Demeter, as the Greeks refer to her, was worshiped for her service to mankind and the "common-folk".  She symbolizes the need for nurturing, food, the relationship between mother and child, issues of “caring for and about” people, teaching the people about planting, growing, gardening, animals, herbs, and grains. She symbolizes "the harvest" grain, or the wheat sheaf. Ceres is linked to eating disorders.

Demeter is also linked to Poseidon through Greek myth. Poseidon/Neptune in the form of a stallion pursued Demeter in the form of a mare and raped her, later giving birth to Persephone

I was recently made aware that Egypt purchases more wheat grain from the U.S., than other countries.  We witness the symbolic tension demonstrated between Ceres (grain) and Poseidon (water) in the skies.  Without water, grain won't germinate and provide the desired harvest. We're witnessing current tensions between wheat growers (farmers) and and big businesses like Monsanto, who want to take over the food industry, threatening Organic Food growers and patenting more genetically modified toxic, chemical laden "round up" ready seeds.  These toxic seeds are planted into the Earth, and leach into ground water, polluting rivers, streams and subsequently our oceans and ocean-life. Animals, livestock, insects, and birds eat this toxic grain, causing illness over the lifespan. Genetic mutations are subsequently passed on to their offspring. We, the people, purchase, then eat, these chemical laden, genetically modified meats.  Most people are unaware of the dangers lurking in our Nations food supply.  We need to educate ourselves and others about health, and the methods by which optimum health is obtained.

☆♥*♥☆ Mole Wisdom,Totem ☆♥*♥☆

by Lorraine Valente

Mole is a symbol of introspection. When a mole appears in a dream, crosses your path or through meditation, it's there to teach you to listen carefully to your inner self and to trust your intuition. A Mole totem gives you a heightened sense of touch. If mole entered your life, you may derive more pleasure from touch sensation or become more aloof because of your acute sensitivity. Psychic touch is also possible with a Mole totem. Individuals with the gift of psychic touch can "feel" and "know" the inner workings of the person being touched.  Many Reiki professionals, those highly attuned with sensing energy fields, may possess psychic touch. They may be the medical intuitive sensing disease through the energy fields of others. People with a Mole totem need to trust their senses. They will know what is true and what is false with just a touch.

Mole is also a guide to the Underworld, to hidden treasures and mysterious places. Fresh air is extremely important to a Mole person. Remember, Mole is blind and also a digger, always searching for his treasures which he ultimately finds. As a totem or power animal, the mole connects you to the energies of the Earth, and gives an understanding of the Earth's cycles and movements.

According to the Urban Dictionary, the derogatory meaning for mole is "a spy", an informer, snitch or "rat". Someone who penetrates or enters a "circle of friends" or organization for the sole purpose of gathering sensitive or classified information and leaking it to an opposing or competing group for personal gain; may also be the opportunist, troublemaker or gossip.

I've personally experienced a female "Mole" on Facebook, a female with an agenda, "posing as a friend", the "frienemy", their own word used to describe another female.  This frienemy was a 7+ year subscriber of this blog, and I shared a lot of astrology and personal information intermittently, yet more frequently when she connected on Facebook last year.  How do you think she demonstrates her supposed friendship?  She "friends" 300 of my friends and coworkers on Facebook, then friends their friends. This woman was aware of my interest in guy I've known for 8 years, and guess what she did?  She sent him a friend request and more than likely shared confidential information with him.  Shortly thereafter, the guy unfriended and blocked me!  Isn't this reminiscent of what you may have experienced as a teenager? Even though I didn't experience these dynamics during school years, it sounds like Junior High school stuff and it's so difficult to comprehend this devious behavior could be demonstrated by a woman who's 60 years old!

A few friends offered comfort and guidance and they also stated that they didn't trust this woman's intentions either.  For some reason she was in competition and latched on when she realized I knew astrology, wanting to emulate, then overpower me.  She knew of my interest in this guy and aimed to sabotage the relationship. This dynamic was evident by her commenting on every post on my Wall, either by me or a friend, sometimes nonsense, to gain attention. In January,  her postings suddenly stopped completely.  I breathed a sigh of relief until her undermining intentions were discovered, that she continues to perpetuate. Do you really know who all those "friends" are on your friends list? Have you seen this or similiar dynamics unfold online? So watch your back, and your "Wall", and trust only those who have earned its gift.

While my situation isn't an isolated incidence, and there's much more to the story, these breaches of confidentiality are becoming commonplace as we stay connected through various social networks. Without face-to-face and/or voice-to voice contact, people essentially remain anonymous. Many people also pose under different aliases and avatars to cover their true identity.  Others post a profile photo more than 30 years old, as did this women. Issues of plagiarism and copyright infringement abound, a topic recently discussed amongst professional astrologers. How would you have handled this situation had it happened to you?  Tell me your thoughts about the woman's behavior; what actually motivated such a deceptively cruel betrayal? I certainly learned a valuable lesson about human nature and trusting too easily. I'll look forward to hearing your feedback.

On a more positive note,  the Chinese believe that every mole on the body has a special hidden meaning. Moles on the front of the body generally bring good fortune.  A woman with a mole on her belly, on either side of the naval, usually means she'll have an attractive mate and/or she is attractive. A mole on the stomach signifies one who has everything going for them; your life will be smooth and safe. This is a very lucky mole and better if it's small. A mole in the center of a man's chest may indicate he's kind and has a warm heart. For a detailed body mole chart, click here: Body Moles

Currently, the Arabic Part of Gossip is transiting 27 degrees Pisces 28' conjunct Uranus. The Arabic Part of Insincerity is transiting 28 Aries 41'. What are the degrees of these "Parts" in your own chart? In the charts of people you know? Feel free to share your own experiences.

Happy New Moon, Chinese New Year of "The Rabbit"!  Blessings for a shiny new day...
